Fast start with bots
Hello,
me and my friends use the "fast start"-function to speed up the game...
We hafe now started a round with bots and i think this work not more hmm???All players are finished but the next Round will not ready...
I think you must update the script, so that check only the real players and then process the round.Paykoman

BUG (minor): Client - Ship name apostrophe bug
Ship name text disappears after apostrophe after attempt to rename.
Example, if named "LDSF - FC 'gs4' no clans", it will be "LDSF - FC " once you go to rename it.

Implement Big Beefer's Die Hard ladder system for the whole Planets.nu site
Big Beefer created a full ladder system with built in achievements for Die Hard games. It is awesome - please see it here:

This does not have to replace existing system in-place, it could compliment it like it does for existing Die Hard games.

BUG: AI players have ships with negative colonist onboard
In my private game with AI, this bug happened twice so far.
I managed to capture a ship from AI player which had -45 colonists onboard.
This bug can be reviewed in game http://planets.nu/#/sector/135487 turn 25 (Ship #50, Firecloud captured from Borg) and turn 36 (ship #36 captured from Bird Men)
The game didn't accept commands for the caputred ships since the colonists onboard are upped to 0.1 voteAdminJoshua (Developer, Planets Nu) respondedThis has been fixed.

Sharing VCR's
I would like the ability to share VCR's with other players, without necessarily having to be a formal ally. The battles are the whole reason this game is so fun, so easy sharing of VCR's would let us all see more battles.
This is also a great way to learn when starting out, by seeing what battles are effective or not.
There are (at least) two possible ways to do this:
1) Have a share button in the vcr interface to share a single vcr with another player.
2) Have a permanent "always share vcr's" option for other races in…8 votes -
In some games, have SubRace (A.I. takes over) in lieu of KillRace.
SubRace would take the place of KillRace in some games. In those games, after no replacement signs up for an open position for 3 turns, the A.I. takes over the position. All diplomatic states are returned to neutral.

BUG: Public Campaign Game got deleted.
Vulcan Sector, game 117675 was a public game and part of the Planets Nuniverse Campaign.
After host run on 29.Jan.2015 the game disappeared from players game lists.
Regular turn message for turn 47 was sent but no further information about the game issued.Victory conditions were not met by any party to justify ending the game.
The game cannot be found on the public front end, e.g. any of the game lists.
An explanation on the whereabouts of the game would be much appreciated as a considerable amount of time was invested by the participating players.

Be able to share notes when in full alliance. Also planets colors.

Bug in Mentor v Midshipman game format - cloaking
In the MvM format it is possible to intercept and tow cloaked ships.
Hercules sector, MvM game #119631
I was able to "Try to intercept" and follow another midshipman's cloaked ship over multiple turns. Another midshipman was able to tow the mentor's cloaked ship. This could never happen in a regular game.
(we have agreed not to use these exploits)

Custom Maps - Ball, Spiral Arms, Rift, etc...
I used to like to play with all different types of maps. Some that get more dense as you move to the center, some that are arranged as a series of spiral arms. Some that had pretty empty centers and more dense as you reached the sides.

Starbase "Fix" menu enhancement
On the "Fix" submenu listing the ships in orbit at the starbase, show the % damaged and current vs undamaged crew numbers.

When a replacement player Resigns after 10-20 turns, they should receive a Tenacity penalty
Currently, a replacement player doesn't receive a Tenacity penalty when they leave a game before it ends. I suggest that this exemption only last 10-20 turns. If a player doesn't know that they're in an unplayable game before 20 turns, then they shouldn't be entering a game as a replacement, and deserve the penalty.

Bug: player name not sanitized in link to player account
It is possible for a player's name to contain special characters. For example:
>>mcn_ninja_nation<<
If I look at a game that this player is playing in, and click on their name hoping to view their account, the link is incorrect because the "greater than" and "less than" symbols in their name are not sanitized before adding them to a URL.

It would be okay to just prevent special characters in user names. If such characters are allowed, then user names need to be sanitized when used as part of links.

Don't allow ships to be given to Dead/Open races
This is to block the Crystal/Privateer hole that allows HUGE accumulation of Achievement points due to giving a ship to a Dead or Open race, then doing a tow-capture on it.
The solution is to not allow the gs? FCs to give ships to Dead or Open races. While this won't completely close the hole, it will make it harder and riskier to use.

Allow primary enemy to override alliance-enforced peace
Sometimes you need to take ownership of a world (by agreement) from an ally (full or peace/info only). Currently this can only be down by ground assault. Suggest allowing attacks triggered by primary enemy setting to go ahead regardless of alliance status - primary enemy is totally unambiguous and I can see no situation where this would cause a problem (apart from just forgetting to remove a very stale settings, which can happen any time when an informal peace is in effect anyway, and it's the player's own fault)

Use request-game pools rather than direct game sign-up

Emork suggested raising as a feedback issue so it didn't get lost.
Gist is that as a means to address perceived pre-defined alliances/teams in non-team games, you sign up to a pool, from which games are created by random draw via criteria matching (so you can sign up with game characteristics you are interested in [acceptable races(s), game level/type], but have no direct control over precisely which game you wind up in). Consequently multiple account holders, or defacto teams cannot engineer presence in the same game.

Enhancement: Fighting campaign gunboats in simulator
It is not possible to simulate fights against a RU30 gunboat with campaign features.

Fix GUI when jettison cargo with no fuel
if your ship runs out of fuel the host stage will prevent you jettisoning any cargo, but the user interface updates mass and cargo totals.
I recently had a ldsf stop 4 light years short of its destination with no fuel. I could move the ldsf 3 light years using no fuel movement or 4 light years if I jettisoned 15kt of cargo. When I jettisoned the 15kt the ui updated (new mass etc) and said I could move the 4ly in 1 turn, but host then rejected the jettison order and I didn't move.

Move the 'Back>' button on the in-game scoreboard to the top
When I play Planets.nu from my phone, the 'Back>' button on the scoreboard ends up in the same position as the 'End turn' button. Sometimes, the phone is running slow. This is indistinguishable from a missed (or misplaced) button press, and has caused me to accidentally end my turn before I was actually finished.
In addition, in a Giant Melee game, it's useful to not have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the long list of dead and open players.
