Cloaking Fail
I'm playing a game as the Fascists. Several times in this game I have had cloaked ships fight a battle (and die). This time I went back and checked. It was cloaked and had no Primary Enemy set. Settings are CloakFail = 0.

Lone Wolf Format
I don't see a ticket for Ace Rimmer's suggestion, so here's me adding one:
Lone Wolf format: adding this type of game into to the regular game system and game hosting by allowing the "Lone Wolf" type of game to outlaw Diplomacy, "gsx" friendly codes and maybe even the force surrender starbase mission making it impossible for races to work together. Only posting on the public game feed would be allowed.

Please add directional arrow or indicators to HYP jumps and Firecloud Chunnels
Add directional arrows or other indicators that visually shows which way the ship will travel from a starmap view.
That way you can quickly see movement of ships / cargo across whole map.
This is especially helpful with Firecloud chunnels.

Host triggers game end for private games rather than deleting forever
I have run into this a few times hosting casual private games for friends where the game has a clear leading team or player who will take another 30 or more turns to secure the victory condition. In some of the games the victory is so certain that it becomes a slog to win which causes many of the players to lose interest also slowing the game down more. It would be useful in private games to be able to prematurely trigger the end game as though the game ended by a fixed turn. As private games have no impact…

Add "Eligible" tab to Officer page
Put a new tab on each officer's page listing the games for which that officer is eligible. I would suggest sub tabs for "Interest", "New", and "Open". This way, when you're looking for a new game, the info is easy to find. The "Open" tab should also help encourage replacement players.

Add a hotkey to open the Dashboard when the Starmap is displayed
Sometimes it is useful to process ships/planets/starbases in a different order than ID - particularly when the Dashboard's grid control allows you to sort them by different criteria, such as ship hull or ready status.
It would be faster to process large numbers of items, if a hotkey were available, to help navigate back to the Dashboard grid after each object has been changed.

prevent player drops/resign or soft up the consequences for the remaining players
If players leave game it has pre-deciding weight to the outcome of the game. Drop, resign or hit endturn till dead cripples the joy of the remaining players. What can be done?

Combat Reports for Lost Battles: display enemy gained Priority Points
Just a streamlining:
the combat reports for won battles display the amount of Priority Points you get. I suggest that combat reports for lost battles also display how many Priority Points the enemy gets.
It is just a tedious work to find them, but the program always knows it, so we can save much unnecessary work.4 votes -

Reply to player messages by email
Currently if you receive an in game message from another player you also receive a notification by email. However it is currently not possible to reply to that email - instead you have to log into the game and use the in game message interface, which is frustrating.
There are several reasons why being able to reply by email is preferable:
1) You may be at work and your boss may not be happy with you playing games.
2) You may be out with your mobile phone, and loading the game takes 20MB of 3G/4G data, plus is slow to…24 votes -
Detailed Information about ship hull in the interface
The stats of each and every ship hull are all around the web. In fact there is already an addon that lets you see the stats of an enemy hull.
I just request that this info is added to the interface for a leveled playfield (newbies aren`t much using addons), but also for ease of playing. If the basic infos (Mass, Cargo Space, Fuel tanks, maximum number of weapons, number of engines) were added to the star map interface for enemy hulls and in addition for owned hulls the the building costs/cloning costs it would be easy to see all…4 votes -
Bug: Blitz games do not end due to a drop
Right now, when a player drops due to missing turns in a blitz game, the players get credited properly... but the game is still active.
This allows the surviving player to acquire a second win against a open slot, unbalancing the global statistics.

Bug: Client fuel cost does not factor in lfm
The estimated fuel cost as shown in the client does not reflect usage of the lfm code when it is used on an empty ship. This applies to both normal movement and towing
This bug has bitten me in the rear a few times when I skimp on fuel. Rather than arrive at the destination like the client thinks I am, I fall short.

Make the Forums and Activity Feed Compatible
Make the Forums and Activity Feed compatible. Right now, we can post in the Forums and it will be duplicated here. That is the best of both worlds. We get to post in the forums, use pictures, and have topics stay coherent. At the same time, Joshua gets his Activity Feed. However, the formatting is all messed up here, unless we carefully and painfully reformat the forum message. So, we don't do it and NU is greatly hurt and a lot of players leave who would have stayed if they could see the pictures and story lines of the Forums.

Client limitation: Cannot set self as PE
I can capture ships with my race as PE, or trade with an ally back and forth to achieve ships with my own race as PE.
I'd like to just be able to set the PE to myself as this was allowed TimHost and has a few strategies that rely on it.

Add ranks to the current system, to make it more robust.
I think it would be worthwhile to add certain ranks and tune requirements in order to make the present ranking system more meaningful.
If we were to start players as "Cadets" rather than "Midshipmen", for instance, it would have a better real-world analogue. It would also open up an additional level for promotion. The top's getting rather crowded.
In addition, the Vice-Admiral rank would be a decent one to include.
While we're tuning the scores to include these and make them meaningful, we can also tune Experience requirements so they're more realistic. Anyone who earns enough Achievement to make Rear…
