    This is actually something I spent a lot of time thinking about with the latest build queue update. It is a bit like introducing "time" to the build process. Longer a ship is building the sooner it comes out. It was a very close 2nd to the random starbase build.

    Did it actually get reset to Exploration to you had to change it back to Pillage? Or was there just no pillage planet?

    Since it has been pointed out that there are certain technical ways to change systems values (none having anything to do with the api) we have implemented data monitoring tools for the past couple of months to ensure that we detect the unexpected arrival of minerals/money/parts etc. There are currently small data inconsistencies which occur from time to time and appear to be caused by network issues and we continue to work on those, if we detect anyone using a cheat to gain advantage we suspend their account. So unless you've seen an account suspended, it hasn't happened in your games.

    I thought a lot about alternative forms of ship limits. The problem with any sort of ship limit which is per race. Such as a simple 200 ships per player or something, is that one player can give ships to another or one race can capture ships from another. How would your system accommodate that?

    They are less frequently created. (only 10% chance per turn, so could be a long time) We just got a new one in our game. But I think I will raise this up a bit as I felt ion storms were too much reduced and had no meaning anymore in our game.
