Cheating
I know that people 'were' able to cheat in this game.
Has this been fixed? Because there's some funny things happening in one of my games.

Since it has been pointed out that there are certain technical ways to change systems values (none having anything to do with the api) we have implemented data monitoring tools for the past couple of months to ensure that we detect the unexpected arrival of minerals/money/parts etc. There are currently small data inconsistencies which occur from time to time and appear to be caused by network issues and we continue to work on those, if we detect anyone using a cheat to gain advantage we suspend their account. So unless you've seen an account suspended, it hasn't happened in your games.

Comment from a private game I played:
Since the API was released it seems there is a bug where you can set whatever you want for your own player. Found by accident when I'd written a script to change friendly codes every turn, so I didn't have to do it manually. As far as I can tell you could only change your own values for the race you are logged in as, such as the amount of minerals.
So that's what we did. Didn't really want to get away with it, which is why we went so over then top it became obvious. But was also wrong to give into such simple temptation to effectively cheat at the game.
This is going to take a long time for the NU team to put right as the it seems the way they have written the game it's going to be hard to fix. In the interest of not ruining the game for the entire community, I'm contacting them privately about this so they can put it right without every single player cheating.
The bug us so obvious that I reckon other people will be using it, but as I say they should only be contacted in Private about it otherwise their product will be ruined.
I will send them an email to NU tomorrow detailing the bug and will relay what they say back.

only way to know this is for you to explain how they were cheating. That way it can be verified by Joshua.
OR send them a private message in on the Planets.nu website and explain the cheat so its not posted in the forums. However this post is so vague that they cant really reply stating whether people can cheat or not.
