  2. In Campaign games it sais in the description that new technologies must be researched first. However, it is also necessary to ACTIVATE them.

    Since I missed this small detail I researched the tech but wasn't able to use it properly. Therefore it would be nice if the campaign game description also included the information that researched technology must be activated before joining the game.

  3. Email settings and alerts.

    Is it possible to have a few email settings for both the user and the hosted games.

    As a user I might want to set myself a reminder if I haven't finished a turn in a game that is hosting in a few hours or if I'm a host in a private game I may want to send a reminder to those who haven't finished to get them going.

    As a user I also want to turn off New Turn messages for games, especially sandbox, single-player or private games.

  4. A friend of mine can access advanced account info by going to "how to play" and clicking on his username which appears on the far right. In the same place "Sign in" appears for me. When I click it and try to sign in (again, being already signed in on the main area) it says "Unable to sign in. Please try again." Using the same login id and password that works on the main site.   6. I just signed up for a premium membership for my account (username: jonmangwj). I tried to use the referral link my buddy gave me: http://planets.nu/#ref=21285

    However, when I click the link, I get directed to my account homepage (http://planets.nu/#/account/jonmangwj), and when I click through to the Upgrade page, there's nowhere to note the referral.

    I'm using Firefox on Win7.

  7. Its not an idea but a question. I believe a player has resigned from a game purchased two other logins and entered the same game. The two logins are with in days of each other and no history. What do you do?

  9. I am currently running my first game with a few friends. It would avoid confusion if the EDIT GAME form was updated so that the format for the "Next Host" field was provided, just as you do for the "Host Time" field.
    This is because the usual date formats in UK & US differ: i.e. day/month/year instead of the month/day/year format used here. This leads to the risk of the date being entered wrong and the host running at the wrong time.

  11. Two days ago, I noticed that the email I am getting when the host runs has changed: The text representation now misses line breaks. However, I like my email client to display text-only messages. I would like to ask you to change the email notification format back to what it was before the change.

    Example:
    The emails contain the "plain-text" as
    Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8
    Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64

  13. gs*: two ships exchange crews. Will only work if there are exactly two ships with this fc on the same location. Options to be decided on:
    - either needs a clan on each ship,
    - or both ships get the crew count of the other ship (limited to the maximum crew count of course)

    If the 'two ships' rule is hard to do, you /could/ do a "shift all crews to the next higher ID, and the highest to the lowest (or visa versa)". This would make a threesome (...) possible - and would allow smart cloakers to do 'interesting'…

  14. Sometimes you need to take ownership of a world (by agreement) from an ally (full or peace/info only). Currently this can only be down by ground assault. Suggest allowing attacks triggered by primary enemy setting to go ahead regardless of alliance status - primary enemy is totally unambiguous and I can see no situation where this would cause a problem (apart from just forgetting to remove a very stale settings, which can happen any time when an informal peace is in effect anyway, and it's the player's own fault)

  15. It is possible for a player's name to contain special characters. For example:

    >>mcn_ninja_nation<<
    

    If I look at a game that this player is playing in, and click on their name hoping to view their account, the link is incorrect because the "greater than" and "less than" symbols in their name are not sanitized before adding them to a URL.

    It would be okay to just prevent special characters in user names. If such characters are allowed, then user names need to be sanitized when used as part of links.

  16. In the MvM format it is possible to intercept and tow cloaked ships.

    Hercules sector, MvM game #119631

    I was able to "Try to intercept" and follow another midshipman's cloaked ship over multiple turns. Another midshipman was able to tow the mentor's cloaked ship. This could never happen in a regular game.

  17. In my private game with AI, this bug happened twice so far.
    I managed to capture a ship from AI player which had -45 colonists onboard.
    This bug can be reviewed in game http://planets.nu/#/sector/135487 turn 25 (Ship #50, Firecloud captured from Borg) and turn 36 (ship #36 captured from Bird Men)
    The game didn't accept commands for the caputred ships since the colonists onboard are upped to 0.

  18. Hello,

    me and my friends use the "fast start"-function to speed up the game...
    We hafe now started a round with bots and i think this work not more hmm???

    All players are finished but the next Round will not ready...
    I think you must update the script, so that check only the real players and then process the round.

  19. Make the Forums and Activity Feed compatible. Right now, we can post in the Forums and it will be duplicated here. That is the best of both worlds. We get to post in the forums, use pictures, and have topics stay coherent. At the same time, Joshua gets his Activity Feed. However, the formatting is all messed up here, unless we carefully and painfully reformat the forum message. So, we don't do it and NU is greatly hurt and a lot of players leave who would have stayed if they could see the pictures and story lines of the Forums.
