    I just finished replacment game Soccerball (http://play.planets.nu/#/sector/93476) where I improved the position of my race. As a result my sector rescue value dropped from 107,5 to 105 instead of climbing to 110.

    I noticed some other people complaining recently about their tenacity change after they have finished a game successfully.

    Calculting my sector rescue value just from my game history also results in 110%. Formula used:

    replacementtenacity = 1 + (improvedreplacement / finishedgamecount) * 0.25 * (finishedgamecount / 10);

    My numbers:
    * finishedgamecount = 10
    * improvedreplacement = 4 (3 games rank improved, 1 game…

  2. If my sensors show a ship moving in the distance, a ship explodes at long range or when there`s a meteor shower, I would like to have the possibility to use markers on a starmap layer in order to remember those places.

  3. Vulcan Sector, game 117675 was a public game and part of the Planets Nuniverse Campaign.

    After host run on 29.Jan.2015 the game disappeared from players game lists.
    Regular turn message for turn 47 was sent but no further information about the game issued.

    Victory conditions were not met by any party to justify ending the game.

    The game cannot be found on the public front end, e.g. any of the game lists.

    An explanation on the whereabouts of the game would be much appreciated as a considerable amount of time was invested by the participating players.

  4. If players leave game it has pre-deciding weight to the outcome of the game. Drop, resign or hit endturn till dead cripples the joy of the remaining players. What can be done?
    There are 14 Suggestions out of the discussion on Nu.

    1.Improvement of AI and AI replacement. (Logical consequence of Gnerphks post)
    2.Improve Reward System for replacement players. To get faster a replacement player (Madinsons suggestion)
    3. Die Hard (drops prevented by social pressure.)
    4. Change victory conditions. (More survivors)
    5. Change way how planetary ownership is dealed. (to prevent resign)
    6. Penaltyse drop/resign, prevent start/join other games. (force…

  5. Put a new tab on each officer's page listing the games for which that officer is eligible. I would suggest sub tabs for "Interest", "New", and "Open". This way, when you're looking for a new game, the info is easy to find. The "Open" tab should also help encourage replacement players.

  6. Currently, if you mouseover a ship, then you'll see info about the ship, but Notes are not shown. It would be good if the mouseover also showed the Notes, since this allows you to review notes at-a-glance for the ship that you're currently interested in.

    I know that you can click the Notes button, but this opens up a pane that needs to be closed after you've looked at the note (which is really just a fiddly bit of extra clicking). That's two clicks for each set of ship notes that you otherwise just want to glance at.

  7. Of course, this is one of those 'easier said than done' things, so bear with me - there's a bit to it.

    This comes out of the recent forum discussion where a player rage-quit while alleging that his 'beginner' game was infiltrated by experienced players.

    While I'm not sure that the player in question was necessarily right under the specific circumstances of his game, a few points emerged in that discussion:

    (1) It is both permissible under the rules, and common practice, for experienced players to maintain 'alternate' accounts, at least for the purpose of play-testing strategies and game mechanics.

  8. In thread http://planets.nu/#/activity/3337433 @Whisperer has let slip that he is also @Happy+Daze and Glyn has provided links demonstrating unsavoury connections between Whisperer and Happy-Daze.

    Sadly I think the time has come to crack down on those creating multiple accounts in order to collude between them and disadvantage honest players.

    Perhaps a good place to start would be to cancel the Whisperer and Happy+daze accounts, but that is up to you. However the reputation of your system is being damaged by activities like this and I urge you to investigate and take some sort of action to protect the game we…

  9. The current Rank system where you have a separate rank for each race is in my opinion daft. It would be much better to have an overall player rank. We can then easily pick out players from a similar rank/experience & not have to worry/look at ranks per race.. and also I'd like to play multiple games as different races & them all count to my 'rank'.

    You also need to add medals beside player names to show things like:
    - placed (1st 2nd or 3rd)
    - Survived a game to the end
    - Finished a game with highest destruction…

  10. I like playing 1 on 1 Blitz games with a friend.
    There should be:
    - a way to manually pick the homeworlds.
    - a customable ship limit.
    - more winning conditions including the winning condition "give up"
    - options like mineral poor/rich

  14. I know players (for example in the old Spanish vgaplanets community) that only play with phost/plist and I like play here with them
    In the other hands, some poeple says taht plist is more balanced than plist, and the same for the races
    Phost is currenly being maintained (last version is from december of 2010) while thost is unmaintained for years

  15. there is something wrong in the cargo transfer for allied cloakers.

    while in the old rst-trn system you could not find allied cloakers on your screen to transfer cargo to, and also could not transfer to ships that were visible and then cloaked away. correct me if i am wrong.

    we now have, with the allied rst (so to say) -on the screen- the ship visible and accessible for cargo transfers.

    our new system collides there with the original, and i think there is a bug or at least strange behaviour in it: if the ship is cloaked or cloaks…

  16. I experience a massive impact of stronger ion storms (> Level 3) on game play. Level 4 and 5 storms a capable to destroy even mid sized battleships and paralize your economy for a longer period.
    This could (and does in many cases!) lead to a complete tactical desaster.

    For my understanding a random event in a strategy game should never be strong enough to outflanc the players skills and efforts in that amount.

    So my suggestion is either to give the game a possibility to switch them off or to modify them (e.g. storms can only grow till level…

  17. For example, when a ship tells me it's over a new planet, open the ship screen so I can drop clans. Also good when minesweeping (continue sweeping or move on), rioting, invaded (build more defense), and probably other events.

  18. Many times when i want to simulate combat outcomes I find myself manually swapping the ship details from the left to right side of the simulator.

    Please put a swap button in the middle of the 2 'sides' that would auto populate the same selections but on opposite sides.

  19. Since Rebel Ground Assault and Pillaging involves destroying Defense Posts and is a big tactic for those 2 races, they should get destruction points (not vs. self or allies). It is not unusual to soften up a planet before the final attack.
