  1. I would like to Color Code my planets based on preset conditions, so that I can get a quick overview of my many planets. Example:

    Planets where happines will go below @happinesfactor(ie. 70) after next host
    Planets low population (1 clan)
    Planets with no supplies and no factories

  2. A few things that would make the dashboard even more useful:

    List destination as planets or target ship in Fleet View, rather than x,y co-ordinates, if not deep space. This is how it's done when looking at individual ships.

    Include Colonists in the Cargo View. (Or let me know where it is; I'm surprised it's not there already.)

    Include Mission and Primary Enemy. Abbreviated if not enough space.

    Overall, though, I like it. Back in the day I used to keep track of all this by hand, but it got so time consuming that I didn't enjoy it.

  3. Following darvsters proposals I suggest:

    "What I believe we need is some sort of notice period for joining players. This could be in the form of when a player joins, firstly a notice is sent out to all players telling them that "Player# has joined the #Race"

    "Secondly, the player will not be able to play a turn until the next host run (or the following host run if less than 24hrs) but will be able to look at his turn and take part in diplomatic discussions with all other races"

  7. I experience a massive impact of stronger ion storms (> Level 3) on game play. Level 4 and 5 storms a capable to destroy even mid sized battleships and paralize your economy for a longer period.
    This could (and does in many cases!) lead to a complete tactical desaster.

    For my understanding a random event in a strategy game should never be strong enough to outflanc the players skills and efforts in that amount.

    So my suggestion is either to give the game a possibility to switch them off or to modify them (e.g. storms can only grow till level…

  9. I can't see the Notes field's contents when I am issuing orders to a ship or planet, which makes the Notes field significantly less useful.

    This is currently intended behaviour, as netbook screen resolutions do not provide sufficient screen real estate to fit the Notes field's contents into the object window.

    If the screen resolution of the client were to be detected by the client, then the Notes field could be displayed when there was sufficient space to do so.

  12. Heya,
    I would like to propose a change to the leaderboard. In particular, I would like to see a change to players who lose the qualifications to their rank, usually through losing achievements.

    The player's rank is currently linked to his ship. I would suggest that this link is cut, and that the players would lose one of these. So you would get federal captains who have been demoted to a Loki, or commanders who retain the command of their Thor. To be honest, I can see either option work.

Hey I've been testing nu on my android galaxy s2 and i see only two things so far that may need alterations the interaction between the map and the touch screen does not register the map as anything other than a none interactive picture either by having the dashboard as an app with a touch screen version of the starmap or inserting an onscreen (optional from menu) set of arrows as buttons that select planets automaticly or move a curser on map with a separate button for select and for un select this wouldn't restrict us portable players the second…

    How about integrating foreign cash and torpedo transfers into the the cargo transfer interface like all other items as well?

    Somehow the btt and btm friendly codes feel added / unhandy for the gameplay - And although i consider myself as a pretty conservative player i don't see any negative effects on the gameplay or the balance of powers.

    Rather the opposite: Allied gaming would become much more intuitive and easier to understand and would allow precise strategies instead of random distribution.

    Of course the fcodes can stay active (for e.g. superspy) and moneydrop on uncolonized planets inactive in…

  15. The way the ladder is working right now, the best way to get many points is to play as many games as possible against the weakest opponent possible. So if someone would play 20 games against newcomers and win, that someone will have the highest number of achievement points. This promotes the idea of achievement point farming and in the end you'll get people who have a lot of time playing in championship matches, and not necessarily the best players.

    What I propose is a system where only games started against equal enemies are rewarded achievement points, or at least…

  17. You get the note writing and color changing box alright when pressing the "Notes" button at the Starbase screen, but the text or the change of color doesn't show up anywhere except on that box.

  18. Sometimes it's interesting to know which target an enemy ship probably has or had.
    For that it would be nice to have a possibility to draw straight lines on the map and see if the ship is on that line.
    Perhaps the measure tool (from starmap menu) could be enhanced to draw a "rubberband" style line on the map?

  19. A starbase in a starcluster halo is significantly stronger than a normal base.
    It's difficult to impossible to simulate a fight against such a base in the VCR simulator (at least I didn't find a way).
    The simulator should get an option to allow for such fights.

  20. 25721 New Sinewnew system - 20 turns in and there are NO ion storms. Not one, this seems like a glitch, there should be at least one by this point and in theory there should be ~5 or so.
