  1. The nu forum is already quite nice and integrated with the game but it is lacking quite a few important features like sticky threads and search. My idea would be to use a phpbb forum for nu. It's completely free and has all the features built in.

  2. When you set multiple waypoints for a ship it would be great to have a dot to indicate each step. Also, those dots should be "sticky" or clickable like the new single waypoints are.

    On a related note, it would be great to have waypoints clickable by the measuring tool instead of having to try and zero in as close as possible with the cursor. Sometimes you want your ship exactly a certain distance from a planet. For example to use it's warpwell next turn or to stay out of intercept range.

  3. Basically there should be a way to tell the game what order you want your buildings erected in.

    For example lets say I want 14 factories first, and then 21 defense posts next.

    I should be able to set this priority in some way where I can put 14 max factories and 21 max defense posts and the game knows that I want the 14 factories FIRST and then the 21 defense posts.

  4. Add a "galactic star" kind of background picture to the VCR Visual Combat Recording popup to add a small bit more fun to watching VCRs, one of the more fun things to do in VGA Planets.

  5. For example, when a ship tells me it's over a new planet, open the ship screen so I can drop clans. Also good when minesweeping (continue sweeping or move on), rioting, invaded (build more defense), and probably other events.

  7. I think a good number of players think the old system of a flat 500 ships is a bit outdated. I am one of those. I don't necessarily have a problem with it but, I also think it a change to how limit is calculated could make the game deeper and fleet variation viable. As it is now there are pre determined make ups to face the threats thrown at you not a lot of variation. I propose that the limit be based on fleet weight. With bonuses for Empire growth.

  8. Playing BLITZ game, both players lay mines. Both players minesweeping. I go back 1 turn via Time Machine, to check messages. In my past-turn message list, I see the minesweep results of opponent's ships - including readings on his own minefield, with the friendly code. I, of course, being the honorable player that I am... use the new information to my advantage.

  10. SB view it would be good to have the last turn that the base built.

    Combine this with the ability to sort on the build order, i.e. which base is first with PBx at the top.

    pb1, pb2, pb3 etc, followed by the ID of the starbase which is next in the build order (I think you can always work this out if you know which of your bases built last).

  11. Try to fit information about the structures onto the Planets view. Unsure where!

    List the following.

    Mines, Max Mines
    Factories, Max Factories
    Defense, Max Defense.

    Maybe possible to fit this in if the screen is redesigned in line with this comment.

    Currently it is: Available (6 columns), Ground (4 columns), Densities (4 colunms)

  14. Planet View(s) - Ready tick box does not display (-) for single tick.
    Displays a (+) for a double click, but not showing a (-) for a single tick. Seems to work OK in ships.

  15. Ships View(s). Display ships name rather than Hull Type.

    Replace the 3 column Hull Type name with the user defined name in the Status window.
    Add Ship name to the other ships views as that is the way most people will identify a ships. No point being able to see what a ship is doing and how much cargo it has if you cant work out which ship it refers to.

  20. It would be nice to see the details behind the changes to one's achievement and experience point totals on the leaderboards. Some sort of simple log that lists the date, game (link), and a brief explanation of each delta.

    Revealing all historical data could understandably be next to impossible, so this request can be considered just for going forward from the time of implementation.
