  1. Why not have a button to"quick-build" a small freighter with a tech 1 engine? Because it takes several steps to get these ships built it would save a lot of time when visiting those starbases far from battles in late stages of games. It's still a needed step to keep my opponents from building a useful ship, but it's boring and time consuming.

  2. I'm using the keyboard a lot while playing my turn, that's why it's bugging me that I cannot chose a mission by 'm' - '5' or something. I know that worked in winplan and other GUIs.
    So I'd like to have the numbers from 1 (Exploration) to 9 (Special Mission) and 0 (Cloak) and maybe 'a' through 'e' for the gathering missions.

    Same for primary enemies chose races 1 to 9 and 'a' to 'whatevertheletteris'.

  3. Make possibility to view temperature of each explored planet on the map to know where to send terraform ships. Gradient color from red (hot planets) to blue (cold ones).

  5. This game: http://planets.nu/games/25721
    has been running consistently early Monday morning since the start.
    On the very last turn it got pushed completely randomly 2 full extra days. This is particularly irritating because I'm in a race for the top spot in borg on the eve of the championship match.

  6. I see a message that says Starbase A built this ship. If I click on that message it should take me to Starbase A on the starmap. Currently it takes you to the last selected object.

  7. Current we see the minerals on the planets, but it would be useful which ones are viable or not to mine just by hovering the mouse over the planet.

  8. There is a big difference between a player that views his/her turn and isn't done with the final tweaks when the host runs and an inactive player that doesn't even look at his turn. I suggest that you stop counting viewed and acted on turns as missed turns. Please either create a third category or count them as completed.

  9. Minor Bug - The number of turns calculated to arrive at a destination only seems to factor the distance / speed.

    It does not factor in plotting multiple waypoints to arrive at the destination.

    Example: I set a ship to travel 160ly at warp 9, with 3 waypoints set. It shows 2 turns, because the total distance is under 162ly. Because the ship is making three stops at one stop per turn, the ship will infact arrive on the 3rd turn.

  10. Should be able to go forward in time from the present, to see what will happen in the future based on the moves you have set.

    I thought this feedback idea was already posted, but can't find it, so if it is a dupe, please close this one.

  11. We can colorcode planets and bases, but can't visually group ships.

    • it were nice if we could give them an extra tag (fleet tag, color box in the quick view or something like that) in order to understand in a fast way to which group or fleet they belong to.

    like group gold, group red, group yellow and so on...

    • it were even better if then the 'next' button would grab 'group gold' by ascending id's and then for example take 'group blue' by id's that you can manage your combat groups better.

  12. I would reccomend the possibility to set (permanent) markers in space, which could have different features:

    • different colours
    • different forms (like small triangles etc.)
    • circles with stageless variable size (!) (= will show ranges very precicse and will stay if you shwitz to another ship)
    • possibility to show the marker to another ace (e.g. meeting point "x")
    • possibility to attach text (permanent or only seen by mouseover)

    This can be usefuel for ally teamwork as well as for sole player turn making - you don't have to rethink often used points in space (e.g. for transportation).

  13. If new players join they have no change against players on the leaderboard that get their achievement months ago and never again played that race again since that moment. So why not give the points a small decay?
    That would also flatten changes in the achievment system over the time.

  14. After the discussion at http://planets.nu/discussion/left-right-combat I've decided to post it as a suggestion.

    The "problems" with left/right combat right now are
    a) left/right being controlled by friendly code prevents the tactical use of friendly code to control battle order
    b) in carrier vs carrier fights the left side (or non-aggressive side) is the advantage, so it is in both players best interest to not initiate a fight at all.

    This solution may not be perfect, but it doesn't interfere with the current value of building any ship. what i mean is that from what i can tell there is no…

  16. There are times when the drop down mission list extends beyond the bottom of the screen and i cannot find how to see what is below the screen and select the options if any are down there. My Screen Resolution is 1366x768.

  17. I always wanted to try out a empire of ashes scenario of the Romulans, ( me) against the Borg(computer) empire. The Borg starting with about 350 planets. I would like to get access to an MBR and to terrafroming ships, but this is not the most important one about this game. Is it piossible to create such a game? Can host settings be chosen like in the old hconfig files, too? WHat computer player program will be used'? Are the features of the computer palyer documentd here at Nu somewhere?

  18. In game 32177 all players allied with one player on the first turn. On the second turn all players could see the planets scouted by the other players. This is a violation of SISA. I have decided to bring it up here rather than bring suit against Thin in the intergalactic court.

  19. It would be very useful to be able to read certain messages my ally receives. One example would be web mines, so that I would know if my Crystal ally's mines have caught an enemy ship or if it is out of fuel.
    If sharing messages isn't practical, then some indicator on the ship would also work. If an ally places his pointer over an enemy ship on the starmap, a note could be added to the ships info page relaying "stuck" or "out of fuel".

  20. I just believe that two players only needing 250 planets is just to low of a figure. 300 makes it tuffer and will require more combat to get there.
