    > A new player hasn't demonstrated that they have any tenacity so perhaps they should start on 0, and then earn it as they go

That would greatly restrict a new player for at least 2 years, and have an impact for almost three years, which would probably drive many new players away. My goal was to have a minimum impact on a new player, so that new player retention isn't effected, but to keep players who haven't finished games out of the games that require more dedication, until the new player has demonstrated that they have that dedication.

Just to clarify a point made in the thread. This is not a punishment. This is changing Tenacity from an entitlement (something it should never have been) to something that's earned (what it should have been from the beginning).

The described implementation will have no impact on a new player, and a slight impact on the advancement of a second player.

I took another look. This game had a DM of 1.24, so it doesn't qualify for the "The Ships Are Mine" badge.

The only time that a DM 1.24 game will give this badge is for a game with a minimum rank of Captain, where all the players are at that rank.

    This is not a bug.

The game charts show that by turn 20 you had met all the qualifications for the "The Ships Are Mine" badge, and you should have received it. Based on the comments I've seen from other players in the feed, I believe that this is a rarely encountered bug.

I would like to suggest that you use the CONTACT button at the bottom of the most of the Planets.nu pages.

Congratulations on the 13 Badges (totaling 225 achievement points) you've received in this game, your first as a Robot.

Each starship is allowed only one Foreign Cargo Transfer per turn. If you select a second Foreign target and initiate a transfer, the first is cleared.

I believe this is by design.

If I understand this request correctly, it's already in there.

When I perform ship/ship or ship/planet and I control both the source and destination, the transfer happens. When I don't control the recipient, and I go back to do another transfer to that recipient, I can see what the pending transfer request is.

Is this the feature you were looking for?

This is an EXCELLENT suggestion. I'd vote for it if I had any votes available.

It would also be useful to see the crew status.

I just tried this in a training game and it worked properly

This problem appears to have been resolved sometime in the past 5 years.

New suggestion https://planets.uservoice.com/forums/136520-general/suggestions/18388963-ship-notes-persistent-after-id-re-use duplicated this suggestion.

    > just erase the comment when the new ship is born

That's easy enough to do when the ship is yours, but how about if the original ship belonged to an enemy, and the new one does as well? You could see a new ship with an old message, that may, or may not, apply.

Fixing this bug is trivial. It should be done to reduce confusion.

    > Makes sense, as long as the winners get the bonus multiplier for victory.

Joshua has ended a few games at the request of the players. As no player or alliance had met the Win Conditions, no player or alliance received a Victory bonus.

A third-party no-cost subscription service has been implemented to notify the game Host of changes to the player list of their game.

    http://planets.nu/discussion/i-would-like-to-announce-the-availability-of-a-service-to

If there is enough demand, I could probably expand that to allow users to subscribe to the service, to see player changes in the games they're in.

Being ejected from a game should have no impact on the player's Tenacity.

Also, if a player is ejected from a game, it might be a good idea for it to not show up on the player's public game history.

The current version of the Training games doesn't give any Achievement Points, so no promotion occurs.

If the players decide to end a game early, all they need to do is transfer enough planets to the "winner" to allow them to meet the win conditions. This has been done in games previously and it works.

If a game ends without meeting the win conditions, then the "winner" hasn't earned the bonus.

The claim is that the change is needed, but nothing that clearly states WHY this change is needed, what purpose it serves or how it benefits Planets.nu as a whole.

This shouldn't be all that large of a change. A message is currently being sent out when a turn Hosts. It's just adding a bit more data to the message.

It would also be nice if this were a player option (default = on).

    > or an sms teaser

This would require that Planets.nu have your phone number, which they don't currently have. It would be much more complex than just adding information to an email message that's already being sent out.

This also frequently allows low-rank players to push a game with a high-rank requirement into the Joining state. This causes the game to take longer to actually fill.

This request dates from 2011. I believe it has been fixed with the ability to create custom games. If a player wants a team game, they can create it.

As of about a year ago, Destruction Points are no longer part of either the Achievement Points or Campaign Resources system. Because of this, granting Destruction Points is a meaningless action.
