  2. The Tenacity score currently does not include player Resignations from either Classic or Melee games. I have been informed that this is to allow experienced players to learn new races.

    I believe that a better solution would be to have Resignations not count if the player's Rank in the current Race is Lieutenant or lower.

    This change would cause the player's Tenacity score to better reflect how tenacious they actually are.

  3. Sometimes, while looking at the VCR, the fighter images move at very high speed. This happens most frequently when the "Next" button is clicked on while the previous VCR is playing. Even then, it doesn't happen all the time.

In the threads http://play.planets.nu/#/activity/1390431 and http://play.planets.nu/#/activity/1406816 the community discussed the still existing loophole that Crystals and Pirates can easily earn thousands of achievement with the following tactic: Have a prisoner, give him Merlins or heavy carriers every turn, tow capture these ships back, repeat.

  6. Tenacity hit formula should be min(10, floor(turns played / 5))

    This results in 10 point tenacity hit for dropping before turn 26, 5 point hit if dropping on turn 50 and no hit if dropping after turn 75. Graceful exit.

    Another improvement should be removing the early turn submittal bonus. It actually encourages bad play and isn't really connected to the tenacity of a player anyway.

    This is done, more or less, with the new tenacity system, which punishes early quitters. Could still use better options for people who find replacements, but that’s a separate issue (and already in uservoice anyways).

  7. suggestion to add a new tab for each game where the configuration data of the game is shown so it is public knowledge for each game so it is a good help for the decision to join the game (better than the old FC con which is only in-game for the players

  8. In the thread http://play.planets.nu/#/activity/1274164 I suggested the re-introduction of a difficulty modifier for games. There was much positve response.
    Reason for my suggestion is that at the moment it is too easy to climb up the leaderboard without playing a game against good players. That weakens the great motivation effect of leaderboard for many players. The leaderboard rank should be based more on skill/quality. Now you can bypass this by play/replace in many games with easy opponents. The rank restriction of some games doesn't prevent this. E.g. classic games and giant campaign melees have no rank restrictions.

  9. As part of the ship capture, the history should be wiped, or at least shortened to the last few turns. I've seen captured ships that have a history that goes back to a starbase. This is too much information to get from a single ship capture.

  10. Failure to cloak should not cause a failure of Super Spy report or Super Spy Delux (code change).

    Ships that cannot cloak are still able to perform Super Spy. So why can't cloakers do it.

    superspy = cloak + super spy report + super spy delux.

    Cloak = 0 due to nebula

    So why is Superspy = 0 ?

  12. It would be really great to be able to ignore certain people's posts in the activity feed, and to hide certain threads when they are no longer interesting. This would really help to keep information that one person finds relevant visible in the activity feed, instead of disappearing off the page. It would also cut down on the anger and insults that some tend to throw at each other (ecv bats eyelashes) when their posts are excessive and/or irritating.

    We’ve added an ignore option for posts and comments. While this is not as broad as some of the suggestions, we think it is sufficient for the bulk of cases. We can revisit this if it proves more extensive filtering is needed, but there are some downsides to expanding blocking as well, so hopefully we won’t need to.

  13. Putting the names of the commanders on the Battle VCR would be exceptionally useful when fighting games where more than one of the same race are allowed (Melee or Team Games). I've just watched cyborgs battling cyborgs without knowing which ships were mine and which were my enemies!

  15. Most players like to send Diplomats on turn 1 or 2. Make it easy (especially in Giant Melee games) instead of having to manually select each race.

  18. Since some time (maybe the new site or since the recent campaign changes) the starting resources of new officers are negative instead of offering some 1000 mins and mc to begin with.

    Example is are my Pirate and my Colo officers. The Colo officer (0 turns played) has:

    Duranium: -40 kt
    Tritanium: -50 kt
    Molybdenum: -35 kt
    Megacredits: -250

  19. In "Another World Sector" (http://planets.nu/#/sector/73778), player Amaya (Fascists - slot R) resigned in turn 44, but he still has a starbase and a ship at turn 57. This game has the racekill option enabled.

  20. In mature games I find myself tapping that $1,000 transfer button 10x to move the max $10,000 from planets to ships. Why not add a "MAX" button? One click is better than ten.
