  1. In a recent game I dropped some clans/supplies/cash down to a planet I owned and built some mines (planet had 1 clan, I dropped 8 more and built 9 mines). After talking to my ally, my strategy changed and I "unbuilt" the mines. The supplies/cash from the mines were put back on the planet as expected, but I was then unable to transfer either the clans or supplies back to the ship (I could get the money). This probably does not come up often, but maybe an easy fix. And it could "hypothetically" screw up receiving a ship from your…

  2. At least 3 players have reported that their turns were set to 'Turn Viewed' when we received this email from admin:

    Game Schedule: STT__ at 22:00This game ran 1.08 hours early because all players marked their turns ready.
    This turn is due: 10/27/2011 10:00:00 PM
    Host has run on 13286: Korwin System you may now play turn 61.

    How could the turn have run early if all players did not mark ready. This is not the first time this has been reported in this game.

  3. It only affects natives, not clans.

    You can check Owen 1717, Timbucktoo System, turn 60 to see an example of this. There is no population growth despite meeting all the requirements for it.

  4. Starting to feel like the boy who cried wolf ;)

    So, I set to rob a gorbie with a mcbr, move at warp 8, 41 LYs waypoint.
    Gorbie tows me, 1LY at warp 9.

  5. In one of my starbases, I have negative number of some ship components I used last turn. For example, I have "-2" transwarp drives, so I would need to first buy 2 drives to get the number to zero, and then more, depending on how much the ship I'm building requires.

  6. If i set a PlanetFC to "<xx" where the x stands for any letter, then the FC dissappears from the Planet Window.
    I think the "<" is the problem, but i dont know why.

    Hi Aibarker,

    Unfortunately we can’t fix your game. You are going to need to start over (its only turn 1)

    The problem was caused by an incorrect value for the host time. You put 15hrs and it should be 15:00. We’re adding a new bug here to fix it so you can’t make that mistake again.

  8. I joined game http://planets.nu/games/16611 as a substitution and tried to carry out a rebel ground attack last turn.

    No message, so I don't know if it happened or not.

  10. I would love to be able to see the effect my ship(s) have on an existing mine or web field so i can better determine the right distances to travel. I would hope it is easy enough to do.

    Ideally it would show the effects on the field of all ships set to sweep that turn.
    I know it would not show me effects of other races sweeping (but would be nice if it did if we were allies)
    Of course any new mines laid would disrupt the actaul effect.
    But i still think it is a good tool for…

  11. We are in turn 9 of game 24377, "Unknows Galaxy", I play the Cyborg.

    My Message Nr. 2 says
    "From: .......... ID#...
    The colonists on .......... ID#... set up house keeping. We are now in control of the planet."

    On the other side, I do not see the planet in the list of my 11 planets.

  12. I had a mcbr set to tow a ldsf, you check the history to the previous turn and they orders are in fact there. New turn arrives, my mcbr did not move, my ldsf did not go anywhere and to top it off since a ship was chunneling away it took the freighter i was supposed to tow with it.

    Yes i had fuel.
    No nothing else was towing it, it ended up somewhere due to a chunnel.

  13. When I select a ship in the time machine and then "return to now" the ship is still "selected" in the previous position and i can't unselect it.

    What I see is this for example current turn: 2
    go into time machine to turn 1
    Ship A at planet 1 is selected, i then "return to now"
    At turn 2 ship A has moved off to another location, however i now have a yellow selection circle still around planet A but no window showing the ship, nor any way to deselect. I can't select any other ship either, all i…

    I can’t reproduce this. Make sure you have refreshed your page, this bug used to exist but was fixed about a month or 2 ago. Let me know if you can still get it.

  14. Game 6803, Beta Ti Chi 3 System

    There were a fights, including planet to ship and ship fights and I only see 1 VCR from them. What's even strange is I didn't get any message and lost 2 ships. Apparently one of them was destroyed, and one of them captured, but no message nor VCR was recorded.
    I'm in the test group.

    here you will find a really, really usefully tool with many amazing features for making your turns. I used it for a long time, when playing VGAP in the 1990ies and I'm defenitivley missing its merits.

    More information should be found here:

    Just to mention some points:

    • toggling through the turns back and forward by using +/-
    • setting markers (many different forms) in space, remaining at this position and ships waypoints can be set onto them (!)
    • drawing flexible radius-measurelines around planets for muliple purposes
    • choosing colors for everything
    • and much more...

    This isn’t really a suggestion. If you want one of the specific features from VPA please describe that feature individually so we can vote on the VPA features that are most important to move to Nu.

  16. Can't intercept ship if target ship speed is warp 0. My ship stays same place after turn. Target is put as waypoint and my ship speed warp 9. is it bug or am i stupid ?

    Sounds like you just used the intercept wrong. You need to point at the enemy ship then click intercept. You’ll then be able to specify the ship properly.

  17. Torpedoes do not start to rearm until you are in normal torpedo firing range. If a ship has the capability to use torpedoes during a battle the torpedoes should be armed at the start of the battle. Even if fighters come in and destroy the ship before it reaches the normal range, why would a ship with torpedoes ever not have them in the banks. (Except when NTP code is used)

    1. Set a ships waypoint to a planets warpwell so he gets there in 1 turn.
    2. Next turn the ship will be at the planet as expected, but its waypoint will still be the same as the one from last turn, so it looks as if it is going to try to fly 3 lyrs away from the planet for some reason.

  18. Turn 24 -> Turn 25 Beta22 ship 250 a biocide "appears" out of thin air and has 320 fighters. Convenient! This happens in the following turns again and again.

  19. Since you can rename your ships, and you tend to have a lot of them after several turns. it can be handy to quickly find your ships, say grouped by name.
    The sort should be by number (as it is today) and also sort by name.
