  1. In http://planets.nu/games/35608 the ion storm #1 makes damage that he should not do.
    As far as i know the damage is calculated like
    StormVoltage - ShipMass - ShipExperience + 20*(10-ShipEngine)

    In turn 29 i loaded a MRB with:
    Transwarp, 40 torps, 75 clans, 5 supplies, close to 6k MC 8( and 130 fuel to a mass of 356kt.
    He got a damage of 105. Ion storm has an intensity of 181 raising to 191.

  3. On turn 34 I can see S17 Emerald Class Battlecruiser and that ship appears to be towing S418 Rush Class Heavy Carrier at Warp 9 Heading 169. There are no planets within 81 LY in the direction of their travel. When I look back on turn 33, these 2 ships are not visible. However, I can see S295 which is much further to the North of where S17 and S418 would have started.

    Can someone take a look at this and tell me if I'm missing something? It's not good when a Rush Carrier can sneak up on you...

  6. GAME: Euro Disney TURN: 28

    I tried to lay a web minefield (3060mines) in front of a Virgo & Cobol but they didn't appear?

    Can they sweep them in the same turn they are laid? Could they destroy that many web mines in one turn?

    Please can an admin have a look into this issue?

  7. In game Lola 23a System - Turn 102 - I had 2 ships (140 & 197) set to intercept ship 275. At the start of the turn, they were both about 70LY away. At the end of the turn, the target ship (275) moved away at warp 9.
    Ship 140 would have had to travel 109LY so cannot intercept (that's OK). But ship 197 was only 49LY away so should have intercepted, but ended up at ship 275's start location.
    Since "ships move" first then "intercepting ships move", ship 275 should have intercepted 275!

  9. Turn 17 ship 366 tries to transfer 50 fuel to ship 75 - fails to do so
    Turn 14 ship 492 tries to transfer 50 fuel to ship 75 - fails to do so

    Finally success on turn 19 when ship 75 de-cloaked. Not sure what is going on.

  10. Games with a max allies = 2 do not have a cap on intel agreements.
    There NEEDS to be a cap. These are for all intents and purposes the strongest level of alliance in the original VGA, they are very real alliances with very real in-game benefits (minefields overlaping, intercept mission vision, etc...). The NU documentation lists them as alliances.

    As a separate issue Intel agreements are not displayed in the game menu as an alliance, they really should be in my opinion.

    After another 6 months of reviewing this, we’ve decided to leave things as is. Players can work together as tightly as they like, but can not win together. This scenario creates more diplomatic options, but doesn’t take anything away from players. As we get more into the new reward system, we’ll be stronger about what official winners vs non-winners get to encourage more consideration in levels of relationships. It is meaningless to join with someone in an intel agreement and help them win, but not be a winner yourself.

  11. I have VCRs from my ally visible now, however they are not displaying correctly. All the VCRs have the same two ships fighting, and their values are incorrect, ie 150% damage, no weapons, etc.

  12. 22938: Alkes System.

    Our 3 player alliance has 290 planets, but the win count down has started.

    This is of course the same game where I posted the bug where we had more than 300 planets, and the count down hadn't started yet. That was because our asteroids were being counted as planets, but not counted toward victory. The scores have now been changed so that asteroids are no longer represented as planets in the scores.

    Somehow I think that this bug is related to the asteroids, but I'm not sure. Maybe a certain number of asteroids are counted as…

  13. It doesn't seem fair that a Crystal player who is playing his race the way it was designed to be played, in other words "capturing" ships rather than blowing them up, gets zero destruction points compared to the other races. I suppose the same case could be made for the Pirates.

  14. Game 28474 Artko: turn 51 results

    My Firecloud dropped 10 clans on planet-165 from ship-199, an unowned planet that I am 99% sure has no enemy ships cloaked there. Next turn planet remains unowned & clans are gone. What may have messed HOST up is that I tried an Imperial Assault with a damaged SSD 2 turns earlier then realized the mistake and didn't drop clans from that SSD again. Is this a bug?

  15. In game 22938: Alkes System, top alliance now controls 319 planets. But the end game count down hasn't started yet.

    This is a Stellar Cartography game, and many of the planets involved are Debris Field Asteroids. They are showing up in the planet count. Do they not count for victory conditions?

    If that's the case then I would withdraw my Bug. But I would just like some clarification on how that works, and how debris field asteroids count toward win conditions.

    I would recommend that there be a distinction between planets and Debris Field asteroids controlled. It's fair for players…

  16. Game 30793 has the Borg winning, with 59 planets of 125 total (and 111 occupied). As I understand it, for a custom game one player needs to hold over half the occupied planets, not half the total planets. That's what happened in this game.

    The Score screen incorrectly states, "Winner is first player or alliance to capture 250 planets and hold them for 5 consecutive turns."

    On a related topic, half of total planets might be a better test than half the occupied planets. With only two players, a very small imbalance can create a win condition.

  18. A turn ago I scheduled my base to build an LCC with 4 Heavy Phasers.
    This turn I tried to change it into a T-Rex and bought 6 additional Heavy Phasers.
    Then I found that I don't have enough minerals for T-Rex hull and wanted to sell the 6 Heavy Phasers again.
    That doesn't work.
    It would just let me sell 2 of them which I consider to be a bug.

    Note:
    Cancelling the build job for the LCC enables me to sell all new heavy phasers, so there's a workaround and there's no real problem.

  19. I have two systems ID 99 and 104 that have 0 happiness now (turn 61) and going negative. Last turn (turn 60) they were ~50 and were going positive. I had no taxation set. I don't know how they even got to ~50, as I normally don't tax colonists (natives were being taxed though).

    There are no birds or fascists left in the game, and I am rebels.

  20. In game 20477 (http://planets.nu/games/20477), turn 34, two of my fireclouds (traveling together) ended up with 83% damage - which fits well with either a minefield hit or a glory device exploding (was near fascists, so both is a possibility). But none of the in-game messages contained information about neither. The time machine shows that both fireclouds had 0% damage the previous turn - but there is no indication where that damage came from.
