  2. i have taken over a game as colonist in a late Turn (95). The one who played them before colored the planets in a way i don't understand. I thought about it a long time but i see no logic there. But to move to everyone planet to change the color would take a very long time.

  3. VGA planets 4 had some very good optional additional races. With the 11 races limit removed in planets.nu , perhaps these could be added to 11+ player games.
A lot of the work (abilities, shiplist etc) has already been done.

  4. Tweak the ranking system to achieve the following:

    • restrict the games to a specific overall rank
    • make bad players lose some race specific achievement points
    • punish droppers by removing some more of their race specific achievement points

My detailed idea of a League based setup would be:

    Junior Officer games:
    - Only new players can join.
    - all score as usual
    - droppers with more then 1% military score loose game achievements
    - If you get killed or drop with less then 1% mil score you keep your achiements.

    Officer games:
    Lt and Lt-Com only
    - droppers (with +1%mil) loose…

  5. The leader board consists of 3 measurements to climb up the ladder & seems only logical that all 3 are shown on each game's scoreboard.

  6. Some games take some time to fill up and not everyone takes their turn immediately when they sign in.

A simple mail to everyone when the game is full to inform of the next due date similar to when a turn is run would be quite beneficial to anyone who didn't click end turn. Especially considering you get kicked out of the game if missing the first turn.

No this didn't happen to me, but i've seen it happen to others.

  8. As the losing party in a blitz game, I get booted out of the game for "losing" all my planets/ships/starbases. This prevents me from seeing the final results of my turn. I lost fair and square, but would like to see my last feeble gasp!

Also, it would be nice if blitz games could stay around publicly, so that we could see how the other player reacted and what they started with.

  9. In the course of a game players are moving clans from planet to planet as much as they are moving minerals around. It would be helpful to add "clans" as an option under Map Tools to go along with the other minerals, MC's, and supplies.

  10. Besides the normal procurement method of building ships in the shipyards, ships may be obtained on the black market or by special/secret projects of the government (the mechanism is the same, so all will be hereafter referred to as black markets ships (BMS).)

I think this could be easily coded, also.

These ships will be numbered 1001 and above and not be part of the 500 ship limit.

To make a bms, you must:

    1. Have a ship building at a SB.
    2. The cumulative tech of the engines, beams, torps, and fighter bays cannot be more than ((3 x hull tech)…

  13. Since Rebel Ground Assault and Pillaging involves destroying Defense Posts and is a big tactic for those 2 races, they should get destruction points (not vs. self or allies). It is not unusual to soften up a planet before the final attack.

  14. The dotted chunnel line should take into account everything that happens up until the chunnel portion of the movement phase.

We should see a dotted line for tow chunnel scenarios. It is too easy to screw things up, so if I'm towing a Firecloud and plan to run out of fuel and then have the Firecloud chunnel, we should see the dotted line to indicate that we have set this sequence up correctly.

  15. I color-code my planets by why I want to send ships to them. One colour to harvest minerals, one to send colonists, one to send terraformers. It makes planning my ship routes much easier.

When my opponent steals the planet, the colour stays how I set it, even though the status is changed.

This leaves me sending colonists or freighters to planets that should get attack ships.

Since I no longer own the planet, i can't get to the notes section to change it back.

I'd like the stolen planet to look like an enemy planet.

    Even better, I'd like…

  16. Although its probably more petty of an idea then others I think it would be neat if there could be a update in the sprites of some of the ships. I think its kind of ironic that any Freighter looks the same as any other from any other civilization. I doubt the Ferengi sold every civilization designs to the same cargo / alchemy ships and made mad MC's off it.

Even though it is probably more effort then would ever be required it would be neat to see different sprites for each race's similar ships so the Nunuverse seems a…

  17. This would allow you to look at the map on the right side of the screen while you type your message in a dialog box on the left side. This would help one to write more detailed messages and if in the middle of a message would allow the ability to reference the map.

  18. When you set multiple waypoints for a ship it would be great to have a dot to indicate each step. Also, those dots should be "sticky" or clickable like the new single waypoints are.

On a related note, it would be great to have waypoints clickable by the measuring tool instead of having to try and zero in as close as possible with the cursor. Sometimes you want your ship exactly a certain distance from a planet. For example to use it's warpwell next turn or to stay out of intercept range.

  19. When we first join we are not sure what we will find. So, we often give ourselves non-descript, boring names like our zip code or something. Once we find that we really enjoy the game, we have more thought about the game and would like a name more applicable to our persona. Since it will have to be done manually, you could make it a perk for signing up for 2 years (including those of us who have already signed up for 2 years). It probably would be a good idea to list the old name in the player profile.

  20. with multiple waypoints implemented it can be very annoying to misclick and lose a ships waypoints. if there was a way to lock it once you've decided this problem would be solved.

even for ships with a single waypoint, this locking mechanism would be helpful.
