Create some games where host never runs early, even if all players are ready.
Some players prefer to play to a fixed schedule.
But with the current system there is pressure to complete their turn early, because other players may be impatient to get their next turn.
And everyone can see who has or has not finished their turn yet. This also affects diplomacy, because the slower players are often attacked first in the hope that eliminating them will speed up the game.
I would like to see a "no early host runs" checkbox in the game settings, with the following effects:
1. Host always runs exactly on schedule, ignoring finished/unfinished turns and holiday mode.
2. No "last missing turn" emails
3. Everyone gets the +.25 tenacity bonus for finishing "early", even if they finish at the last minute (encourages the slower players to play this kind of game instead of the standard ones.)
4. Don't display the green/white icons for opponents (players see only their own)
Also create some public games with this setting (11-race classic/campaign only. This setting is probably not suited to melee or team games.)

Item 3 above should NOT be done. It could easily unbalance the Tenacity scoring.

For private games, this should be a flag on the game configuration menu.
