  1. Whenever I hit next turn the turn runs but then freezes until I reload the page.

    Seems to be an issue with the new layout/version.

  2. It looks like im not the only one trying to colonise planets with mol, or turning colonists into minerals. Its just to easy to make transfer mistakes.
    So i suggest you make the different cargo types look different, in the transfer screens.
    I would prefer a frame around clans, as it is the cargo type that causes the most problems.

    But perhaps its enough to simply give the textlines
    (cargo type, and amount) different colours.
    I suggest to stay true to the original dos colours, neutronium is red, trit is blue, dur is yellow, mol is green.
    Keep clans at…

  3. Ignoring single posts isn't enough, for some users tend to post crab again, and again. It would be helpful to have the ability to ignore the user(s), not only single posts.

  4. Chrome and Firefox both bitch at you now if you enter passwords or any other sensitive information over a non-secure website. LetsEncrypt and others offer free, valid SSL certificates.

    Can you consider securing planets.nu and go https :)

  7. Sadly I think the time has come to crack down on those creating multiple accounts in order to disadvantage honest players.

    The reputation of your system is being damaged by activities like this and I urge you to investigate and take some sort of action to protect the game we love.

    I've loved this game for over 20 years, and invested considerable time into promoting it and helping newcomers. I was delighted to rediscover it recently through nu, and although as a new account I was offered a midshipman slot in a MvM game, I declined because I didn't feel…

  8. There should be a warning in the ship window that the ship is inside a Nebula and the cloaking feature (if it is a ship that can cloak) will not work.

    In the same area that displays a warning when the ship's path intersects a debris disk, or a star.

  9. In a game I had notes on a probe (borg), which was destroyed. Later I saw a fed ship with notes on it regarding "HYP". Checked back to old turns, found the destroyed probe had the same note content and shared the ship ID.

    Unsure if the feds could see those notes as well or if they were only visible to me.

  10. CSY found a bug in the Android version of Planets Nu. Putting a pound sign (#) anywhere in the message causes it and the portion following to be trimmed AND also to be posted as a new topic to the public feed.

    CSY can reproduce this problem both on my phone and in the BlueStacks environment.

  11. Add directional arrows or other indicators that visually shows which way the ship will travel from a starmap view.

    That way you can quickly see movement of ships / cargo across whole map.

    This is especially helpful with Firecloud chunnels.

  13. Initial description and motivating problem, plus extensive discussion in this activity feed link: http://planets.nu/#/activity/1650352

    Emork suggested raising as a feedback issue so it didn't get lost.

    Gist is that as a means to address perceived pre-defined alliances/teams in non-team games, you sign up to a pool, from which games are created by random draw via criteria matching (so you can sign up with game characteristics you are interested in [acceptable races(s), game level/type], but have no direct control over precisely which game you wind up in). Consequently multiple account holders, or defacto teams cannot engineer presence in the same game.

  14. It's a known problem that things posted on the Activity Feed just disappear after a short time unless they are constantly commented on.

    There is a search function, but I can't even find some posts in which I know what the discussion was about.

    There are categories, but if you select for example 'Addons', you still only get the absolute top slots and everything older disappears.

    Previously, one could simply post in the forum if it was desired to keep the topic around for longer, but recently that results in completely separate posts on the Activity Feed... :/

    So for…

  16. The proposed addon provides an alternative to the ship limit/pbp system. Design details for this addon are discussed in the following thread:
    http://play.planets.nu/#/activity/1234434

    The basic idea of the system is this: instead of the normal ship limit, a player can have 1 ship slot for each planet he or she controls, with a minimum number of ship slots for each player (e.g. 50). So if the player controls 35 planets, he can have 50 ships. If the player controls 120 planets, he can have 120 ships.

  17. Prior discussion: http://planets.nu/#/activity/1464248

    I just finished replacment game Soccerball (http://play.planets.nu/#/sector/93476) where I improved the position of my race. As a result my sector rescue value dropped from 107,5 to 105 instead of climbing to 110.

    I noticed some other people complaining recently about their tenacity change after they have finished a game successfully.

    Calculting my sector rescue value just from my game history also results in 110%. Formula used:

    replacementtenacity = 1 + (improvedreplacement / finishedgamecount) * 0.25 * (finishedgamecount / 10);

    My numbers:
    * finishedgamecount = 10
    * improvedreplacement = 4 (3 games rank improved, 1 game…

  19. Add an "Average Ranked Finish" and post it next to a Players Tenacity Ranking. Take the average finish for all Classic and Campaign games and a separate average finish for Melee games. It would encourage players to finish high each game to increase their averages. It would allow other players another quick tool to judge a player's worthiness of alliance.

    This "Average Ranking" could also be used as a modifier to Leaderboard rankings to get the high finishers ranked above players that play 12 games at once and finish middle of the pack.

  20. Each user needs a mailbox, just like in an email interface. The mailbox would include:
    (1) an inbox folder for incoming private messages
    (2) a sent items folder saving all messages sent to others
    (3) a draft folder for incomplete messages or messages to be sent at a later time
    (4) diplomacy message folders for each game containing all diplomacy messages, sortable by order received, turn number, or sender
    (5) a means for composing game diplomacy messages while not inside the Echo Cluster.

    Here are some reasons for these suggestions based on my own experience:
